Post-Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the blessings and challenges that have shaped this year. In the midst of both joy and sorrow, I am grateful to be alive and given another chance to navigate this journey we call life.
This year has been particularly poignant, marked by the unexpected loss of my sister at the age of 50. Her passing served as a stark reminder of life's fragility, emphasizing the importance of cherishing each moment. It's a sobering realization that life's twists and turns don't always come with warning signs. Family should be where love is even when there is no like.
Amidst the shadows, however, there are beams of light that warm my heart. Just this past Sunday, my oldest sibling celebrated her birthday. Despite the distance, she drove an incredible 11 hours to spend this special day with her siblings. Her selfless and loving gesture stands as a beautiful testament to the enduring power of family bonds, filling me with hope and gratitude. And boy did we party. I think I embarrassed my son and he surely embarrassed me :) but boy did we have a ball! I felt like ole King George 🎶I'm in a party mood🎶. Ha. In addition to family, my heart swells with appreciation for the community of remarkable women I am privileged to be a part of. Together, we strive for personal growth, aiming for a better life for ourselves and our families, all while embracing the shared goal of financial empowerment. Their commitment to “Keeping Money” is both inspiring and uplifting, and I want you to know how profoundly thankful I am for each of them. In 2022 I decided that I would not spend my time or energy where it wasn't reciprocated. While it is an empowering feeling this past few weeks reminded me that sometimes support costs us $0 and little time.
