From teller to VP to you…and through real-life storms

Jessica Shunta

The Money Therapist

It's been a while since I told my story so let me reintroduce myself (the short version)...

Reader—

My name is Jessica, and I’ve been obsessed with finance since I was a little girl walking into the bank with my parents. At age 25, I saved my first five figures (me and a best friend would compete to see who could save more). At age 26, I bought my first home.

I’ve worked my way up in banking for over 15 years — from teller to Vice President, leading a lending team across 6 states — all while building my own business on the side.

But let me keep it real: it isn't easy.

💔 I’ve been divorced and at the time I was soooooo sad, but baby trust me life goes ON!
💔 I had to pay off over $10,000 in debt that didn’t even belong to me — stolen by someone close to me I thought I could trust. "Sleeping with the enemy" is an understatement.
💔 When my mom passed, I didn’t know how to cope until I started therapy. She meant so much to me and was my biggest supporter!

I share this because no matter what it looks like on the outside, we all have struggles. What sets us apart is the grit, determination, and drive to keep moving forward — to be more and do more.

That’s why I’ll always advocate for families like yours.

Here’s what I know:
✅ You need a banking relationship with a local bank or credit union — it fuels your community, protects you from predatory lenders, and gives you leverage when you need it.
✅ But if you want your money to grow, you can’t stop at saving — you need to invest.

The truth is simple:

  • The national average on a savings account is only 0.4% (Google it).
  • Mutual funds historically average 10%.
  • Even if the market only returned 5–6%, that’s still far more than 0.4%.

👉 We have not, because we don’t prepare to have. Read that again.

And for Bible believers, Proverbs tells us that a wise man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children.

Regardless of what's happening in Washington— now is the best time to prepare. Trump isn't thinking about you or me, but best believe he's rich and his family is investing in the market GUARANTEED.

That’s why I do this work.

💗 I help concerned families make money, save money, and get out of debt.

If you’re ready to take the first step, I invite you to get your free FNA (Financial Needs Analysis). It’s no risk — just clarity about where you are and a roadmap for where you want to be.

👉 Reply FNA and I'll connect with you and provide next steps.

With you,

Jessica Shunta
